This was the hard-selling long form letter I’d planned to use to launch my consulting business as my ticket out of a dead-end PC technician job.
One year prior to writing this, my full-time job was picking up lunches for a web startup at a whopping 7 bucks an hour (though I think I was making 8 before it was all over).
I did end up starting the business in 2005, and due to my marketing ineptitude, I packed it in less than a year later, at a significant loss, to pursue a career in marketing (?!?!).
It’s safe to say I’m glad I didn’t achieve what I thought my life goals were 9 years ago.
