Mountain West Ruby 2016 - Surviving the Framework Hype Cycle

I still think the concepts in this talk hold up and matter. People spend so much time wringing their hands over whether the technology they use is going obsolete, and that is so much less interesting a question than whether it’s the best tool for them, right now, to solve problems for other people in the real world.

I also gave this talk at Railsconf, but I like this recording because I got to share a deep thank you to Mike Moore, who gave me my first break in community organizing AND my first real job as a software developer.
